The 3 8 wide 9 52mm flat blade has the right taper and size to adjust a traditional fender truss rod efficiently without marring the nut. Fender wrench is also sold separately. Like martin takamine drills a small hole through the cross strut brace to provide soundhole access to the truss rod nut using a right angle tool.

The truss rod needs a tweaking and there is no rod adjustment tool in the case box. I ve heard there are 2 differnet sizes and want to get the right one. The size of the hex key varies from brand to brand with some as small as 1 8 and others as big as 5 mm. Possibilities are hex wrench box wrench nut driver or screwdriver.

There is not a standard type or size wrench for all guitar truss rods.
