Wet Vinyl Application Fluid Recipe

If you re doing a wet application with an acrylic adhesive vinyl you should be prepared to wait a while before removing the transfer tape.

Of lysol antibacterial all purpose cleaner 20 to 30 drops of kodak photo flo then mix with a second half gallon of distilled water. If kodak photo flo is unavailable a small amount of dish detergent may be substituted. A squeegee can be helpful with vinyl application. It would be handy but not necessary to place the mixture in a spray bottle.

The adhesive won t wet out or bond with the substrate as quickly as usual. Mix 1 pint of isopropyl alcohol with one half gallon of distilled water. If it turns white wet application is not an option. If the adhesive is still clear then you will most likely be ok going forward with a wet application.

1 drop of dishwashing soap in 1 cup of water.
